Invitation for Applications under the Inward Investment Cost-Sharing Grant Scheme in 2010 and 2011 was published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia on the 26 March 2010.

The amount of funds available for the co-financing of investment projects in 2010 totals EUR 6,496,470, the amount of funds available in 2011 is EUR 8,000,000.

Slovene Enterprise Fund issued a Public Tender for Capital Investment by the Republic of Slovenia in the private venture capital companies.

Tender documents are prepared in Slovenian and are fully accessible on the SEF website http://www.podjetniskisklad.si/ and at the SEF headquarters: Trubarjeva 11, 2000 Maribor, Slovenia every working day between 9 am and 2 pm.

 

The Act on development support to the Pomurje Region in the period 2010 – 2015, adopted by the Government of Slovenia stipulates measures aiming to encourage foreign investment, including:

- tax relief for investment

- priority treatment of programmes and projects in the Pomurje region competing for funds from national programmes, European cohesion policy and rural development policy in certain areas.

The act includes a programme to foster the competitiveness of the Pomurje region, supported by EUR 33 million from the state budget (EUR 5.5 million per year) and employment incentives.

 

According to the act, the following development orientations of the region shall be particularly taken into account: (i) geothermal energy and renewable energy sources, (ii) sustainable and competitive agriculture and agro-food processing and (iii) tourism.
